I’m a freshman at a private college in North Carolina right now and my GPA from last semester was a 3.89, ACT from last year was a 29 if that’s helpful to know. I’m from Colorado and I know about the WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) but am looking to stay south since my parents are moving to Florida and I like it here. Does anyone know of colleges that offer waivers for out-of-state students in some circumstances? I’ve heard of some colleges that do this but am curious if anyone has had experience with them. Looking to transfer to an SEC school with a good communications or public relations program (UGA, Alabama, etc.) Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
Some schools have tuition discounts for neighboring states. However, if you have your heart set on a particular state school, you should consider just moving there for a year, working, and qualifying for in-state tuition the next year.
