Out of State?

How hard is it to gain admission to Berkeley out of state? The Collegeboard website says only 10% of the student population is out of state, and since Berkeley is such a top-notch school, I’m thinking you have to be amazing if you aren’t from CA. What would you say the average SAT for an out of state student is? GPA?

Oh, and how do you calculate the UC GPA? I keep hearing about this an have no clue what it means. I know pretty much nothing about the UC system.

the % between instate and oostate arent too different

uc gpa: start at the summer after 10th, and end with the summer after 11th. count only a-g classes, meaning no PE and stuff like that. a's = 4, b's = 3, etc. for each honors/ap/cc class, add an additional point, but there is a limit of 8 points you can add

Summer after 10th to summer after 11th...so basically just Junior year? uhh....

oops, summer after 9th

it should be from 10th-11th
