I grew up in the LA region. However I am now in colorado. Is it particularly difficult to get into UCLA from out of state? What about financial help?
Cuz I applied, and I have pretty good stats (2100 SAT, top 5ish% of class, 3.8 UW, etc....) but I'm not sure if they are good enough. I'm banking on my essays: I'm a writer and I think my UCLA one's were well-written, engaging, and funny....so! your opinions? Is there also nothing to do but wait till March 15? They didn't even ask for my transcript yet....I suppose that's done after admission? anyhoo replies would be appreciated.

What's your weighted GPA? Without knowing it you're from a slight reach-matcb.

my weighted GPA is close to a 4.2. Freshman year lowered it a bit, so it should be higher when UCLA recalculates it. yes, thanks for your help.
I've also been involved in school a lot, but nothing unfortunately spectacular. heavy involvement through high school in theatre, volunteering at the hospital, forensics, newspaper, numerous letters etc. too bad no recs are considered haha. I hope I get in!
