<p>highly competitive...they take 70% from in state so the out of staters have to be outstanding. don't have my d.'s stats..she a soph. this year, but she's out of state and got waitlisted. her scores were just fair, grades good, letters great...but she got in on special talent, so she used that in her application. she DID get in off that waitlist and admitted last fall...but she sweated it out.</p>

<p>I'm not familiar with how they are doing the new sat test scores and what is the right range. act scores they looked at were 27-31 your gpa looks ok, but they look at so many things besides that. md looks at the whole picture not just gpa and test scores. ec's have to be good and solid, were you involved in several things for a long period of time. leadership i think is big for them too...are you a club, class officer? capt of a team, co. capt. play any sports..have a job...all of this is looked at...the applications are throughly reviewed and not just glanced over. OH and the essay needs to be outstanding ...if anything in your application is weak, a good essay will compensate for that.</p>
