Out-of-Staters...

What attracted you to UNC? It's so competitive for you guys (18%admit vs. 65% admit for us in-staters) and all-in-all a great school, but is there anything in particular that makes you want to go to UNC when so many of us North Carolinians take it for granted?

Im not from out-of-state, but I know that some people are attracted to the fact that UNC has the best journalism( i think) school in the nation.

well i visited UNC & i loved it (i liked it much more than Duke ...). UNC has great programs, it has a beautiful campus, its diverse, etc. I loved pretty much everything about it.

Rice-Obsessive, that was why I was attracted to UNC. It's a top 3 journalism school (it rotates every year for the top spot with Northwestern and Missouri-Columbia.)

Definitely the J program, and the setting.

Business school, prestige, relatively low cost, nig school yet not too big, i want to live in NC....

I love NC, I hate Duke and its cheap!.....Also, my sister went there and loved it.

i visited over the summer and i absolutely loved the campus. plus its business program is up there too. great academics, pretty diverse student population (im asian), their tennis program is riduclous and of course, tar heels basketball! Also the cost to attend is pretty low compared to other private schools that aren't even as good. not too small of a school but not big like penn state or ohio state.

top journalism school, financial aid packages, diversity, great people, the student body believes in my philosophy: work hard, play hard. Also the size is comfortable and a great undergrad experience.
