Out of States chances

Hi I am from Maryland however, I am planning to apply universities out of states. Washington State University, Colorado State University, Arizona State University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Texas A&M University, California State University Long Beach, and San Diego State University is school that I am going to apply. My gpa is 3.24 and SAT is 1590 what are my chances that I can get into these universities??

What is your SAT breakdown? CSULB and SDSU admit by eligibility index (EI).
You need to calculate your CSU GPA: http://www.csumentor.com/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp
Then calculate your EI: (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR). Based on your posted Stats:
CSULB: High Match (want an EI of 3900+)
SDSU: Low Reach (want an EI of 4100+)

Can you afford the OOS costs for these universities: $36K/year with no financial aid?
What is your intended major?

UIC isn’t that good of a school… You’ll get in

UIC values GPA over ACT/SAT. Your GPA is a little below average for the school. The issue is that they receive so few SAT scores so they don’t report averages. The average ACT is about a 24. The average student is at about the 75th percentile of their class. With the exceptions of College of Engineering and Applied Health Science, you’ll have a decent shot at acceptance. However, UIC has been trying to increase its out of state numbers for financial reasons. Sometimes, in these situations, they will accept a lower stat out of state student.

Base tuition for OOS at UIC is about $12k per semester. If you are going into a science or engineering type major, you can add another $1000 per semester as a tuition differentials. Fees are another $2000 per semester and this includes health insurance which can be waived if you can prove you are enrolled in a plan. Going to UIC will easily cost over $20k per year once you include living expenses. It is very hard to change residency status from out of state to in state in the University of Illinois system.

There is the UIC Chicago Grant which gives out of state students in state tuition rates.

You need to look at the finances and see if you can afford to go to a out of state school. Student debt can haunt you for a long time.

Can someone give information about average GPA & SAT of Washington State University and Colorado State University?
