<p>I was wondering, does anyone know what Emerson’s policy is about auditioning for professional theatre outside of Emerson itself? For example, Marymount Manhattan does not allow you to audition for ANY outside theatre companies while you attend their school, while Pace University heavily encourages it and will even advertise audition opportunities to their students.</p>

<p>My D was auditioning for a professional theater company in Boston two years ago and ran into two male students from Emerson who were also there auditioning. I asked them if Emerson encouraged it, and they said that it was fine so long as it didn’t interfere with school. But, that was two years ago, and hearsay. 
I think if you call over there they would be happy to tell you their policy. They are extremely helpful.</p>
