Well said groovy.

very very well said groovy!

Zepp, thanks for that link! I didn't see the story elsewhere. Good thing those morons were weeded out ( :D) early. Looks like they were dealing, which will get you kicked out of most schools. But parents were told drug offenders would get sent home.

I'm not going to argue the merits of NEU with you. Many colleges have unhappy freshmen that were rejected by their first choice (perceived as better) school. Admissions tries to minimize this effect by sometimes rejecting highly qualified candidates that are clearly using the school as a safety and are unlikely to attend. NEU was my son's first choice and he is very happy to be there.

Rejecting smart kids only hurts the school. And Northeastern is a joke. I've taken chemistry for two years and have most of the molar masses of common elements memorized. This person is a professor and doesn't know the molar masses of very common elements off the top of this person's head. I personally find that to be pathetic. And I understand that drugs and drug selling goes on at other colleges, I just find it funny how stupid these kids are to get caught. Seriously, read the story again and ask yourself how these kids got into Northeastern. Oh yea, its not hard to get into and they accept pretty much everybody. Thats how they got in.

so if its so easy to get in because a bunch of dumb kids get in and you got in, but didnt get accepted to any schools you wanted to go to, maybe thats saying something about you...

Zepp,
I've remained silent on this thread for a while but I am out of patience.
My mother used to say "if you don't have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut."

I suggest you try it.

You have bigger problems than the fact that you are "stuck" at NEU. Your attitude about everything is unbelievable. I personally find THAT to be pathetic.

If I were the parent paying your college tuition you would be home working at McDonalds.

Enough said. Please quit posting.

Actually, I did get into one of my top schools and only my attitude toward how I have no future because of NEU is poor. I understand that I have a poor attitude toward Northeastern, but that is only because of the effects that going here will have on my future. My parents aren't paying my college tuition, and I already had a job working at a place much better than McDonalds.

if you got in to one of your top schools, why on earth would you want to attend such a "terrible" university as Northeastern!?

Can you say troll?

I chose such a terrible school because it has really sweet freshman housing (the only good thing to come from NEU). Trust me, the decision to go to NEU over Villanova haunts me every day.

Yes I can. Troll.

Zepp,
My son is freshman at NEU and he couldn't be happier with his decision to attend. He says he has a great group of friends, really likes his classes and teachers, and is enjoying the facilities such as the Marino Center. And he isn't even West Village F!

Villanova is a fine institution but they and NEU both made at least one serious mistake, deciding to admit ZeppRock07. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

I don't think you have a right to say Villanova made a serious mistake by admitting me (the fact that I'm in WVF and your son is not says something about our academics...)

you made the decision to go to neu over villanova. It's not like neu held a gun to your head and said "northeastern or else!" You wanted nice freshmen housing so you chose northeastern. From your other posts it seems you knew exactly what neu was before you attended so I don't really see why you blame northeastern. You made the decision, you have to accept that and live with it. Neu is no more deceptive about it's own academics than any other college in the US.

Attending neu for one year will not ruin your life. Do well your freshmen year and you will be able to transfer to a "better" school. You may lose some merit aid but again, that's because of a decision you made. If you end up liking Boston I suggest a transfer to BU. BU has a good level of name recognition and is ranked somewhere up near villanova for engineering. You can always reapply to villanova, but expect to receive less scholarship money. Transfer students simply aren't given the same level of incentives as freshmen. Don't blame neu for this, accept it as a consequence of your own decision and move on. There's no need to be so angry or upset.

Zepp's purpose here is to make himself the center of attention, most likely due to the fact that he has no friends at NEU. Think about it .... if he is this arrogant and negative on-line, imagine how he must be in person. The hard working students at NEU don't need to surround themselves with this type of holier-than-thou attitude.

You got me RatedPG! Oh no, wait. Look at the date of my posts. August 23 (the day of my first post) was definitely 6 days before I moved in and 13 days before classes started. 10 of my 16 posts in this thread were made before I got to NEU. Nice try though. And my purpose here is to make sure high school seniors who may be thinking about NEU know that it is not as good of a school as people on these forums make it out to be.

I'm really curious Zepp, what is your major? Oh and I decided to go back and review all your posts. You waited until 6 days before moving in to start your rants and raves about NEU being a horrible school. Hmmmmm, let's see you probably accepted NEU some time in May. So for June, July and almost all of August you were silent. Then 6 days before school you post all this crap. Right around the time prospective students might start looking at these boards.

Troll.

Chemical Engineering. And this isn't "crap" that I've been posting. It's the truth. And I only started to post in late August because of the threat "Overlooked?" My first post was saying that NEU is not overlooked and that BC, BU, and Tufts are a lot better. NEU just isn't that good of a school. Then you all started attacking me, so I said what you all know but don't want to hear.

Zepprock7 is right. All of you are trying to justify NEU is a good school to make yourselves feel better about all of your academics (but lets be real...if you are defending NEU to this point where you are genuinely getting ****ed off, then all of you probably did really poorly in high school.) Also, Zepprock7 recognizes he made the wrong decision by choosing NEU. He is just putting in his 2-cents to let other people who are thinking on going to northeastern to reconsider.

So Zepp as a ChemE major, exactly what classes are you taking this semester?

And the "truth" according to you Zepp isn't even close to the truth.
