I was accepted to UC Berkeley yesterday and was also invited to the Overnight Host Program.
I'm thinking about going on the Cal Day weekend option, April 11-12.
Does anybody know if we're able to attend the Cal Day festivities before heading home by airplane?

DEFINITELY go to this. I wasn't sure about going to Cal until I spent the weekend there thanks to the OHP and had the best weekend of my high school years.

NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THE STUPID PROGRAMS THEY WANT YOU TO DO. Remember this. Also, you don't have to stay with the person they assign you to. If you have friends at Berkeley, try and crash with them and go to parties/have a good time.

This isn't high school anymore, you're not gonna get in trouble for not doing something. What are they gonna do, rescind your acceptance? Make you pay for your flight? Sign up for the overnight host program, and have a great time!

hey Indian do you know how we are suppose to get to UCB after we arrive at the airport? will there be a guide for us or do we have to find our own way there?

demoz: I drove up there, so I don’t really know if they’ll be a guide.
If you fly to Oakland Intl., then take the Airbart shuttle ($3) to the BART station and get on the Richmond train ($3.30), getting off at the Downtown Berkeley Station. Then, walk up to campus.

hmm there was a guide last year… they picked us (like 3 people from my school + other ohp students on same flight) from the airport and paid for airbart and bart roundtrip

UGH!
i got the confirmation email and it’s for the 10th and 11th.
when i signed up for the 17th and 18th. >.<
i hope the can change it, i already booked my plane ticket! lol
