Who's going to Cal Day?

I wish you could sign up for the OHP online on the night before cal day, since I already mailed my form in, but they're like, "first come first serve"
and i live across the country =[

anyone know if they're offering the 2nd night for OHP, after cal day, like they did last year?
it would make traveling a whole lot easier :]

and what's it like? I'm so clueless about it XD

I don’t much about it but im probably going

is OHP the overnight visit? and when can we start signing up for that???

last year it was in your myberkeleyapp, under events.

What form did you already mail in?

the one that appeared after i clicked the “reserve your OHP spot now” link.

and i just got an email that said they don’t have anything for the second night.
anyone care to help a future freshman out? =]

I was able to RSVP for the second weekend in myberkeleyapp and it gave me an email saying my reservation is pending my fee and liability waiver… maybe we’re talking about two different things?

no i’m pretty sure we’re on the same page, the fee and liability waiver is what i sent in :]

ohp may land on cal day weekend

anyone have a link for OHP? Cause I was accepted and there are no OHP links whatsoever on my myberkapp account.

OHP is by invitation to a small group. The alumni association will mail everyone an invitation to several similar OSP events. OHP was indeed the night before Cal Day last year - D went last year and we went to Cal Day (and barely saw her).

I can’t answer the OHP question, but rider did a nice job.

But Cal Day is amazing – for prospective students AND parents. For the parents of a student with learning disabilities, it gave us the opportunity to meet the dsp counselors, figure out what our son was going to need to do, what accommodations he’d get and get the feel of the environment. Not to mention having a brew and great fries at the Bear’s Lair.

For our son, Cal Day was the deciding factor in his decision to attend Cal. He made the announcement towards the end of the day at the Bear’s Lair. He does not regret his decision.

Same for my D - she knew it was the school for her by midday on Cal Day

ohp/cal day was the deciding factor for me. That day was such a nice day. Partly cloudy skies. Low-mid 70s. Such a nice day. :)

Do you guys think Cal Day is worth flying out there for? I live on the east coast.

Hmmm…
^
you should plan a vacation out of that. but cal day it self… i don’t think it’s worth it.

Do I have to reserve a spot for cal day?

not that i know of.

I went to Cal Day as a Junior. It was pretty much the ****, and when I went and asked about their Philosophy program, the girl working there said “Welcome to Berkeley.” It was a nice feeling…and I didn’t correct her. :D

Definitely going again.

I am! I am!
I looked at the schedule and there’s so much going on. I need to figure out which events to go to.
