Overnight Visits

Hi!! I just had a quick question about overnight visits. I applied to Oberlin regular decision (Oberlin is one of my dream schools!) and I am getting "recruited" by the cross country coach, who I have been in contact with since the fall. I really want to visit Oberlin and I live in Washington so it would have to be at least an overnight visit. My spring break (April 2-6) would probably be the best time for me to visit but that is only about a week after I find out if I got accepted which isn't enough time to plan a trip. Would it be bad if I went ahead and scheduled a visit for sometime during that week now, even though I don't know if I got accepted yet? Can I cancel the visit if I don't get accepted? Thanks!

It would be perfectly fine for you to go ahead and schedule the visit now, and then cancel later if the acceptance doesn’t come through. Absolutely no problem.

Ok, awesome! Thank you!

A visit that week should be good. The track and field team will have just returned from the Emery Invite. Let the coach know your plans and he will set you up with a xc team member. My freshman D loves Oberlin and the team. Good luck.

Planning overnight before May, (trying to decide between OB and Middlebury) any other suggestions for admitted students?

Text any contact (coach, contact of interest, etc) and see which Friday or Monday would work for you. Looks like virtually any Monday or Friday could work. Speedy: are you coming from Washington state or DC?
