This song is freakin awesome. I have been listening to it on a loop since 4:00.

Saltwater room > All Owl City songs.

Personally I think Owl City kinda sucks, all the songs kinda sound the same and the lyrics are cheesy, but saltwater roommmmmmmmmm ahhhhhhhh I’m addicted.

I would delete the link. This thread will probably be deleted:/

yesss, it’s SUCH a cute song. the first time i heard it i was like…eh, the lyrics are kind of cheesy. but the second time i heard it…i was in love :)

my friend & i had an entire conversation about this song during gym today, aha. my favorite part is:
Leave my door open just a crack
(Please take me away from here)
'Cause I feel like such an insomniac
(Please take me away from here)
Why do I tire of counting sheep
(Please take me away from here)
When I’m far too tired to fall asleep

i get obsessed way too easily.

The song is about the guy’s insomnia which explains the 10 million fireflies after he falls asleep. honestly lyrics aren’t that huge a deal, it’s more important that it actually sounds good.

God-awful lyrics.
“Cause I get a thousand hugs, from ten thousand lightning bugs”
Are you kidding me? x_x

Its catchy, but the auto-tune voices annoy me…

^ Lol, Owl City is known for quirky lyrics. He’s come up with some stranger sentences lol.

Lol, the music vid for Fireflies is also pretty trippy.

I can’t really get into the band, to be honest. It’s just the vocals annoy me. Which is weird, because I love Protest the Hero and Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah, both of which have vocalists with slightly annoying voices. I guess I’m very picky about vocals, lol.

I like fireflies, and Owl City is pretty ok in general, but I really have a thing for Saltwater Room. This probably has as much to do with where/with who I first heard it than the actual song though. I miss Texas.

I think I heard them on the radio today. I was like, ***, Owl City is getting played on the radio in Ohio?!

My favorites are Rainbow Veins, Saltwater Room, and Blue Fuzzy Lights.

firefly is an amazing show

The auto-tune voice is annoying!

They all start to sound the same after a while.

fireflies isn’t their best song (i think). rainbow veins, vanilla twilight, the bird and the worm are all better. i have never heard them on the radio or anything,…well i dont really listen to radio so im not annoyed by any hype (if they have it?). well, i like them :)

I am obsessed with Owl City!!! I got my mom into them too; now fireflies is her ringtone. the Dentist makes me laugh everytime “I know the drill” haha so cheesy but amazing

Anyone who likes this insipid, Postal Service ripoff needs to reevaluate his/her music taste. (Not to mention the fact that the dude uses autotune, I mean, COME ON.)

Here’s some food for thought: no one cares what you think. Just because some other people like a certain type of music and you don’t; that doesn’t mean the entire world should revolve around your tastes, you narcissist ass.

It’s bad music, ‘cute’ lyrics, popular band.

Ah well, whatever works I guess.

sAxsKy:i second youuu :)

Owl City or should I say Adam Young is going to turn into those musicians at eventually run out of gas.

I like Owl City, but it’s definitely annoying to find out people liking his music just because other people like it.
