This song is awesome. And, I usually don't like weird music like that. I'm a Pop/R&B guy.

But the beat of this song is sick. And the words are cool despite making no sense.

I hate the song, but my local radio station plays it 24/7. Very annoying in my opinion

So you live in a place with 1 radio station?

That must blow.

Haha, 1 radio station that plays modern music. We have a few others locally, but I’m not a fan of country or oldies. Yeah, small rural town, it does blow sometimes to be frank

I liked it at first, but then it got old really fast.

It’s no musical masterpiece, but I admit that it’s cute.

To be honest with you I can understand it getting old if you listen to it a lot. But I don’t listen to the radio so I don’t hear it much.

Owl City Reppin’ Minnesota!

I love that song! Well, ok, it is overplayed, but I guess I’d rather hear Fireflies over and over again on the radio than most of the other musically uninspired crap that is so ubiquitous these days.

“I liked it at first, but then it got old really fast.”

That is exactly how I feel. I loved the beat and everything at first, but once I looked up the lyrics It bugged me that it had absolutely no sentimental value or anything.

arg!!! do not waste your time on such garbage…if you want to know the root of that music i’ll tell you.

owl city is a legitimate rip off of the postal service. now, the postal service’s lead singer in also the lead singer of the later and greater death cab for cutie. but now death cab for cutie’s music sucks so you need to listen to their 90’s stuff. Listen to their album, “photo album.”

please save yourself from bad music!!! please!!!

I feel really lame that the popularity of that song has turned me into one of those “I liked that artist/band before they/it/s/he were/was popular!” type of people.

Millancad, mee too!

The Postal Service and Owl City sound similar because it is a legitimately small genre at this point. The Postal Service has more thoughtful lyrics and less poppy music, though, so I certainly wouldn’t say Owl City was a Postal Service ripoff. And, considering I doubt The Postal Service plans to get back together to make more music soon, some of us have moved on for the time being.

I hate this song. I really do. They play it too much and…I can’t really pinpoint what I don’t like about it. The lyrics might have something to do with it.

Aw… I like the lyrics. They’re so imaginative. ;o

… I always think of it as a super trippy song…

I mean, 10 million fireflies giving you hugs?

I liked the song the first few times I heard it. Now I really can’t stand it.

Me gusta the song. Es muy bein. Even if the lyrics don’t make sense, it has a catchy inspiring tune.

Owl City completely stole The Postal Service’s style.

Such Great Heights is an awesome song.

I already made a thread about this song a long time ago.
