I was just wondering if anyone here has attended any of these programs, or knows what they are like (not info from the site).

I am also applying this year for a scholarship at Oxbridge, but it seems pretty competitive. Have any of you here recieved a scholarship for this program? And if so what are the standards? I have a 4.0, but not many extra curriculars so I'm not sure.

Also, I got a half scholarship last year to Oxford Royale, but wasn't able to go. I plan on trying to get it again this year and am just curious to see if anyone here has been to one of these and knows what its like.

Hey mate,

I've attended Oxford Royale this year and it was just AWESOME. Apply for the scholarship and just see how that goes. I know a girl got a half-scholarship this year. Bascially you'll have a full programme, comprising academics and fun. The guys who organize it are really cool and great at their jobs. And the head of the programme is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. We did loads of stuff such as paintballing, punting, going to theatre, if there's something you'd like to do, they'll make it possible. Great aspect as well is that the students who attended it were one of the most interesting and bright people I've met so far. There were people who were into sports, video games, books, etc... Bascially whatever you like, you'll find like-minded people. My advice is: Go for it, it'll be great.

PS: Of course the tutors are amazing. They're usually from Oxbridge and can tell you a lot about the universities as well. Btw, my major class had 3 students and my minor class had 4, so you get a lot of stuff done.

I attended the Oxbridge program on a full scholarship, but I had a friend who applied with a 4.0 GPA and she didn't get one.

You have to remember that you're competing with about students 100-150 all over the world for just one scholarship, so you have to have more than a good GPA to stand out...

I love the programme in Oxford, it was the most amazing experiences of my life! The academic classes were challenging, but what we did outside the classroom with our friends and out on the historic streets of the city were the memories I cherish most.
