Hi there. My daughter is 16 and lives in Trinidad. Its a Caribbean country and considered third world. Our finances are not great and she got into PACE. She recently did the audition and is awaiting acceptance. She was afforded a grant for 1/3 of the expenses based on her GPA. I am told no aid is offered to international students. Only scholarships. I also am told its only one scholarship she can get. I am asking if this is correct. What if she does her SAT and does well? Will there be the possibility of additional scholarships? Does the audition provide anything? Its so challenging as we don’t have the required funding for room, books, food, and 45000 dollars for tuition plus a 2500 fee for performing arts students. Actually we need more aid but due to being international we can access federal aid. My daughter dreams of PACE and is working so hard to go. She already was accepted into the college but we are waiting acceptance into the BFA commercial dance program. Can anyone advise or give me some good news please? If we get at least the tuition covered we can try to help her with the other monies.
Sorry there was a typo…we cant access federal aid…I typed can.
@smileycharlen you might try asking this over on the general Pace board, as there might be more people over there with more information.
Has she applied to other schools as well? Admission to the dance program at Pace is extremely competitive.
