Hello all,
I post here a lot with questions, so if you happen to stumble across my rambling and respond, I want to thank you. I’m a student about to transfer at the end of this semester to (most likely) another SUNY school. I plan to study political science no matter where I go, most likely with a focus on international relations, but I understand that PoliSci isn’t the most employable field. I would like to double major to increase my chances of employment, but rather than a foreign language (since I’ll be minoring in Chinese), would anyone be able to suggest a major that would be practical if my dreams of being a diplomat, intelligence officer, or anything in that field are far-reaching and unobtainable?
I was considering a Computer Science B.A., but I’ve also been looking into Business Administration. My mathematics background isn’t the greatest, and so I would prefer to avoid any subject such as engineering or the hard sciences. The CS degree I was looking at touches on Calculus a bit but doesn’t require Calc III - IV.
I would most likely continue my education after undergraduate in political science, but I want to create the best possible future for myself so that I don’t end up a) unemployable in my degree field and b) miserable.
