Hi I applied to Colorado at boulder Jan 15th and I wanted to know what my chances are. I probably did ten of these already but I was hoping for one or two more opinions. I have been accepted to Rutgers already but Boulder is my top choice. If my stats dont match up to regular boulder applicants, then a denial wouldn't feel too bad. Anyways...

If you were a Colorado resident, you would almost be guaranteed admission. As an out-of-state, you stack up very well, but don’t expect much financial aid.

Did you see that CU extended its application deadline from January 15 to February 15? I don’t know for sure, but I think that is pretty unusual for a school as large as Boulder. It makes me think the applicant pool was either smaller than usual or not as top heavy on well qualified students. That being the case, you most certainly are in, IS or OOS.

Hockeymom brings up a good point, extending the deadline is a great hint they’re hungry for applicants! Are you from Jersey? Although UCB is one of only a handful of midwestern/westernish schools that gets apps from my son’s NJ high school (7 apps so far this year) I think they like the “geographic diversity” That said, my son applied to UCB uber early (Leeds, 1730 superscore, 3.72 W gpa…good rigor…yours looks better) and he got in as did his best friend with lower stats. He’s in 11 schools and it’s his first choice. It bodes well your in Rutgers! Chin up!

The optimism around here is really making the waiting process easier =]

there is not even a chance that you will not get in. I know tons of people who have got in with far and i mean far way worse stats than you!

Hooray for optimism!!!
