Are interviews for JHU considered unoffically essential?

Alright - as we've got less than a week, got to ask another question.

Are interviews for JHU considered unoffically essential?

Not at all. They are officially and unoffically strictly optional and, therefore, they do not play a significant role in admission decisions. They are mostly informational for the applicant.

As an interviewer, I ditto what bonanza said - while interviewers submit some brief comments about your interview, the interview is completely optional, and will play a minor part, if any at all, in admissions decisions. Not having an interview will not hurt you
