Hello guys,

Who has to fill this form out? Is it only a selection of applicants? It's lengthy and annoying, just like the FAFSA. Is it my bad luck for being selected or do all applicants have to file one of these? Thank you

Hello guys,

Who has to fill this form out? Is it only a selection of applicants? It's lengthy and annoying, just like the FAFSA. Is it my bad luck for being selected or do all applicants have to file one of these? Thank you

I have to fill it out as well :/

I have to fill that out too…

35% (?) of students have to do it chosen by random altough some private schools require 100% of students to verify their income/taxes.

I just finished filling the parent verification form but now I just need one of those yellow envelopes so I can fit everything in it. I also need to prove that my brother is enrolled in the college like I put on my FAFSA. Does anyone know anything about that because it didn’t give me instructions but it said notified next to it instead of required. Do we need to send in any documents before April 15th so we can get our financial aid notice or not?

its so darn annoying cause its so much stuff u have to copy and send over. like those forms are as thick as an ILIAD.

Did I use the wrong forms because mine was only four pages

1040 or something like that along with supplements if that applies to you

Oh yeah, I thought you just meant the forms they make you fill out. Yeah, those are pretty thick.

Curious, how much money was everyone eligible for? I got mine in the mail a few days ago and it said something like-

Overall expenses for attending UCSC: (roughly) $30,000
Financial Aid Eligibility: (roughly) $29,000

Needless to say, this was great to hear. What have you guys heard?

AGR - you are so lucky. Is that the official-official offer?

I really want to attend UCSC but it’s most likely it’ll be more expensive than Merced…:|

Does anybody know when you will get your official offer? My mom sent the Parent Verification Forms at the post office on like, the 2nd of April, which was over a week ago. The Parent Verification form is no longer listed under my To-Do list, but they don’t show any awards/offers yet.

?

Bleh.
On my unofficial though, it’s:

Cost of Attendance: 30,702 (which if I were to go there, it’d be lower because they estimate high and I’d be trying to live cheap anyways)

EFC: 12, 301

Estimated Financial Aid Eligibility: 18, 401

Where did you find your unofficial estimates?

@soulkitchen23
The unofficial estimates were mailed to you.

Can you wait until June 15th to send in the parent verification form? And if so do you just get your money later or do you get less money?

I think its required for you to send in your parent verification form before April 15th in order to receive your official financial aid package… not exactly sure though.

And did this estimation come with our acceptance letter or was this a separate letter?

It was separate and came later. Go to your ucsc portal under the financial aid section, it should be there.

I believe that it came separately from the acceptance letter.

Meh, it said that they need my parent verification form before they can give me financial aid info. Hopefully they get it by tomorrow or else Ill have to accept Long Beach’s offer and wait until UCSC gives me my financial aid package after the May1st deadline.
