<p>My d will be attending Project Uplift May 27th - May 29th and I am going to stay in the area instead of driving over hours each way. </p>
<p>I am lhoping for suggestions for a hotel and was hoping to find out the best places to stay in or near Chapel for 2 days. </p>

<p>Best place is The Carolina Inn which is virtually right on campus; if you let them know you are there for a UNC event you get a discounted rate. There are also several Marriott properties near campus that are newer and nice.</p>

<p>This is much nicer than the other Hampton Inn which is a motel.</p>

<p>I think Spanky’s is a great lunch spot and is a short walk (<5 mins) from the Carolina Inn if you stay there. Pepper’s Pizza is also a good lunch spot; it’s also on Franklin St and just down the street from Spanky’s.</p>
