Thanks, Avon, but I was saving that for the Advanced Class.

Pepper…??? Come in off the ledge. You can Do this! You, too, cooker. Your idea to print out the directions and literally follow the print-recipe as you go is exactly how I learned to do this. Once you’ve done it 3 times, you’ll do it without even thinking.

Maybe we should start a thread with the schools that WE would have chosen for US. A big Do Over. S is oh so close to deciding and I think his choice is perfect for him, but I LOVE one of his top 3…for me. Just a little late for that, I know, but still…

Proudmom - you are officially off the hook. Does your D listen to ALL of your advice, All of the time?? Didn’t think so, I doubt a passing comment you cannot remember had that much impact. Let her drive, and see where it takes her. You are a good, caring Mom!

No, Avon, you didn’t step on toes at all. Just kidding about how with us techie-scaredy-cats, sometimes that ONE additional piece of info (helpful though it is) is enough to make us run screaming back to pencil and paper.

All is well…we’re gonna get pepper quoting, and cooker, too.

Rom, not sure if you’re new at this, but the reason your attribution to cooker (above) didn’t work quite right is that a comma slipped in between the bracket and cooker’s name. Everything has to be lock-tight, no spaces, no extra characters. Try again! :)

I have a 10th grader, too. She is a science researcher. What colleges do you think she should target? Do you know any information on the web for science researchers?

But most of the information on the web relates to recrtuiment for athletes. Can you get recruited for science research? Is that possible? Have any of your children ever been recruited for science research? My daughter wants to pursue a phD in biochemistry after college. Thank you for your help.

Ortho,
Is your daughter the tennis player? I posted a followup on the other inquiry. If you have two in HS, it might help to join the threads specific to their graduation years. The athletic forum search tool will give you more threads to read for info on the general recruiting process. The search tool in the admissions forums etc will also help with science if your high schooler is leaning towards that. Many CCers kids compete at the national level and win the prestigious science awards.
Hope that helps.
That web site you posted is just trying to sell you their services. You can learn what you need to here at CC. Good luck
