The Class of 2015 list of acceptances (H.S. 2011) also got messed up (at #538). I fixed it this morning, but someone else just messed it up again. I am giving up, lol…

mommylaw - We plan, G-d laughs. I guess it was meant to be.

325 - Great news! It can’t hurt to ask.

Dkarth - Sad commentary on our world that people have to resort to that.

mommylaw - we have a similar situation at our house !! D is almost there - she told us how she was leaning yesterday as promised and fortunately, that’s what all of us wanted for her as well! If everything holds, perhaps we’ll able to get off the ship tomorrow. I am getting a little tired of hanging over the rails…

Dkarth - interesting story. Guess you can’t judge folks by their looks - a harmless old lady is a scammer?

AvonHSDad - your countdown is fabulous. Loved the “put your luggage out the previous night” comment.

2education - would like to know how to do color, size and font - if there’s a page you can point me to, that would be great. Also, does anyone know how to do the envelope that was so popular on the 2010 thread last year?? D knows about those envelope announcements and was asking me if she would get one this year - I had completely forgotten about them.

I fixed the Class of 2015 list of acceptances… It should be right now. I figured I could take a turn. :)

^
:)

Dkarth ~ Oh, my…

My kids love to tell the story of how I was scammed by a “nun” in Venice.

I wish I had some Reeces chocolate eggs! I have been doing so well weight-wise. One chocolate filled weekend and I’m a candy addict again.

arisamp - Go to Help and Rules on the left side, then Go to Reading and Posting Messages to find all the editing tricks

I believe the Drum roll is missing 10 names or so. I figured out which ones. I’ll fix after dinner.

I believe I corrected the Drum roll accurately. Please check it for any errors.

Even though we are not on the Drum Roll yet–Thanks FlMathMom!!!

thanks FlMathMom!

OK so I see it isn’t good enough to be able to quote-oh NO, not on this thread-now we have to change text sizes and colors too? What’s next, dancing mascots??? ;)

We even go edit and correct other threads-we are not a group to me messed with no sir! :)

Some great stuff on here-OWM awesome story, thanks for sharing that with us.

mommylaw I can’t believe what I just read-well actually I can! Good luck with that!

momofzach sounds like a good plan you’ve got there.

I need to go back and re-read things in case I missed anything.

My son got home last night-actually early this AM-around 12:45. By the time he showered and had something to eat it was close to 2 AM. I went in and checked on him this morning and closed the shades-he told me he was exhausted. Five minutes later Thing 2 announces movement from her brother’s room and down he comes-off to school he went. He told me once he woke up he was wide awake so why not go in?

He had a great trip-it’s coming out in bits and pieces but he is very happy and happier than ever with his college choice because they are big on globalization and he was changed by this experience-he wants to see the world!

I hope to be able to post some pics soon on shutterfly.

I am so happy he is home though-and so is his dog!

I have a perfect picture of your sweet angel in my mind. Can’t wait to hear all of your S’s stories. Great to hear that his choice is even more solidified in his mind and his heart. How did your daughter enjoy being an only? We know where dog is sleeping tonite.

See I need to copy this so I don’t forget anyone.

Umm sweet angel may be pushing it just a tiny bit.

Oh she really missed her big brother…not! She loves him though-I am pretty sure about that-and he brought her a couple of very nice souvenirs.

Pepper - you can quote and make smiley and winking faces. Not too shabby! But, I am pretty confident that someone on this forum will figure out how to make dancing mascots.
Welcome home to PepperSon!

Congrats to all on your fine decisions and disembarkment plans!! Glad to hear PepperSon is back safe and sound and sure to be full of great stories to tell!!

OWM - Loved your Mizzou day story, I am glad you got to savor that kind of memory with your son and his friends.

MOSB - Wish I could be front row at the Oklahoma production!! I really love your stories about Songbird! Wish one of mine could carry a tune (they are all dreadful).

Easter was just like a root canal, I’m glad it’s over but it sure was more painful than I expected. This was my mother’s day where she reigned over the dinner with all the grandkids in tow, egg hunt in the front yard, the whole shebang. We still did those things but it was me now, running the show. Sigh…if you all knew me, you’d understand how foreign this “emotional” stuff is to me. I don’t do it well, I know.

So, keep distracting me. Anyone want to discuss what we need to get from BBB? That should clear my head.

AK- D has already picked out her new quilt from Linen Source, the down comforter underneath it from the Company Store and indicated that jersey sheets won’t do as they get holes in them (gee maybe she shouldn’t sleep with screwdrivers and pliers) so she will need one set of regular cotton and one set of flannel- preferably in light yellow or a soft pink. However, her linens’ addiction comes directly from me so I guess I can’t criticize too much.
ETA- there is a confused concerned parent who could use some advice re his/her S trying to choose between 2 good schools (Rice and Williams) for math.

Some other parents of 11/15 class might be able to help?

No BBB shopping planned yet, but we did some backpacking/hiking shopping for D1 for an upcoming school trip. She’s hoping the stuff will be used again for an outdoor-oriented pre-orientation program.

And for all those whose kids are on terra firma, now comes the fun of looking at class schedules and possible internships and looking at all of the fun things that occur at their school every day. D1 has been in agony for the past few months, moaning about how (fill in name of interesting political figure) will be speaking on campus, and whyohwhy can’t she be there already, dang it!

One more day of Passover. The natives are restless, complaining about “passover food”. I am looking forward to buying some Cadbury Creme eggs so I can make this: [Cadbury Egg Inside Chocolate Cupcake @Craftzine.com blog](http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2011/04/cadbury_egg_inside_chocolate_c.html)

I want to leave a quiet little shout-out to our new Maroons. I’m an alum and loved every minute there. I’ll be thinking of them as they start that wonderful and exciting journey.

But really I’m happy for everyone!

We found out D’s school uses standard twins instead of extra-long. She’s thrilled that she won’t have to use her sister’s hand-me-downs. I guess now we’re looking for someone who wants them … I’m sure I can find a boy who couldn’t care less what color or fabric his sheets are!
