@curiositycat333 , thanks :).
My daughter’s main requirement for selecting a college was that it had to be BIG. We live less than 20 minutes from the University of Wisconsin and I think that has colored her view of smaller schools. She wants to become a Physical Therapist (a 7-year doctoral degree (!)) and plans to study Kinesiology/Exercise Science for her undergrad. She gets good grades, but failed to understand the importance of getting a good ACT score and did not study property for it. Her best friends scored well with no sweat/no prep made her feel that she should be able to do the same. She was wrong and her low-average ACT score has been a real roadblock to being accepted at her #1 school and for receiving merit scholarships at schools where she has been admitted.
Her #1 school is the University of Wisconsin, #2 is Iowa State, #3 is probably University of Minnesota. Kansas and Iowa are both out because of COS. We will be visiting Iowa State this weekend and she may also visit IUPUI this week with a friend.
Here are the schools she applied to. So far, 5 acceptances and 2 waitlists. I hope that the format is good for @eandesmom
