I know this was mentioned in another thread, but for those who don't know, October 9-10, 2009 are thr dates. Hotels are going very fast.

As a parent, should I be buying football tickets now for Parents Weekend?
My friend who has been to three of these games, says he always bought them the day of the game off the street and there were always plenty for sale. He got better seats than if he’d bought them online.

But I really don’t like the idea of not having a ticket ahead of time.

Can my other D sit with her sister in the student section, or would she have to sit with us?

Our experience was that the younger sibling was able to get a seat in the student section even though I do not think they are supposed to.

i would get a ticket ahead of time just so you know you have one. we all sat in the student section last year and it was a blast!

you really get a sense of being part of the game in the student section.

Your student can request a guest ticket when the student ticket lottery opens up each week before the game. The student’s ticket is free, the guest is usual adult ticket charge. I do not know if the student can request more than one guest, but at least one guest can sit right with your student in the student section.

When parents get the email about Parent’s Weekend, there is a section to order additional game tickets at usual face value. I am not sure about getting better tickets off the street day of the game… Maybe. There are always folks selling unused tickets. But on parents weekend last year, not a lot of good empty seats were visible to me.
