<p>For new Terp parents for 2008: I know it's early, but the UMD Parents Assoc. sent an email today, stating the dates for Parents' Weekend. (FYI, you'll be able to join the parents' assoc. and get on the mailing list at your kids' orientation this summer). The Family Weekend Web site, if I remember right, doesn't really have schedules or much detailed info until after classes begin in Sept. If you are coming from a distance, you may want to consider making a reservation. I checked today and the Marriott on campus wasn't available for the dates I entered. </p>

I am pleased to inform you that Family Weekend will take place on Friday, October 10 - Sunday, October 12, 2008. Family Weekend is the largest university-sponsored program devoted entirely to the family experience, and I sincerely hope that many of you will make plans to return to campus (or join us for the very first time) for this exciting weekend of events.
