Parking at uc davis

I want to bring my car to davis first year but I know that undergraduates who live on campus aren’t able to receive on campus parking permits to school. Is there any way for me to keep my car on campus or close to campus (biking distance)? Please don’t tell me not to bring my car because I insist. I know the campus is trying to be “car-free”. Thanks for the help!

Hi kernelguy5,

There is parking that’s located in the Cuarto Dorm area. Also, you can park on Russell (street cleaning 2am-5am friday, Tuesday night!) as well as Sycamore (no street cleaning). I’m sure there are plenty of other areas. Parking is relatively easy to find during the weekend but much harder during weekdays, so if you found a good parking spot…don’t move! I am currently a freshmen in Davis and I park my car there and everything’s been smooth :).

Also, there are parking lots near the dorms which allows free parking after 10pm to 7am. Sometimes I park here if I can’t find any spaces during the street cleaning nights. Good luck!
