parking for overnight vists-where? how much?

<p>D will have a visitor who will be staying overnight. (all cleared by room mate lol) On the dickinson/rodney side of campus what is the deal with parking? </p>

<p>Is there any street parking? Is there an overnight rate in the parking garages? If so how much? Just want D's friend(s) to know what they are getting themselves into before they go. </p>

<p>College kids barely budget for tolls let alone parking costs. Ideally they would love to park for free but I can't imagine they would know where to go for that. </p>

<p>UD students living in dorms and their guests are not eligible for these Residential parking permits. You have to be a local resident of Newark, DE. to get these permits. Overnight Parking at UD for students and their guests is a royal PIA. You can check out the Parking Site on the UD website for details.</p>

<p>There is a parking lot near Dickinson on the other side of the railroad tracks. I parked in there a few times during the day. You can see what their rates are. There is also a parking garage by Trabant but I think that is further.</p>

<p>You can a visitors parking pass for about $3/ day through UD. Not sure which lots it’s good for though ( aside from the lot on north campus by the towers ). Check the UD parking website.</p>
