Parking Lander Hall

My son is in Lander Hall. When my daughters drove down to help him move in they noticed parking in the back of the building. When they go to visit can they park there or do they have to pay for metered parking in the street? If so, does anyone know the cost of metered parking in that area?

If they want to park in that lot, they will need to pay for a daily parking pass from a gatehouse: [UW: FS: Commuter Services: Daily /Night Permit](Getting to UW | Transportation Services)

They will need to specify to the gate which lot they wish to park in (w-10, w-9, etc)

The parking map is here: Getting to UW | Transportation Services;

If they do not get a day pass, they will most likely get a ticket. Enforcement officers check several times a day.

There is also metered parking next to the parking lot in front of the day care center, along brooklyn, and in front of terry/lander

There are a few metered spots in the rear parking lot, I don’t recall how long you can stay there, though. There is also the W12 lot just down Brooklyn, it has an automated pass machine.

Also note that if you were at Lander on move-in day, they flow traffic in the back lot reverse from normal.

If you visit after 12pm on Saturday or anytime on Sunday, you can park anywhere that’s not campus-vehicle restricted only spots for free.

good point, speedsolver. i forgot to mention that

i (think) it’s free on holidays as well

I parked on metered spot on Brooklyn this past Saturday, it says Mon-Sat. 6 am - 6 pm. I paid 3 quarters for 38 min of parking.

Thanks everyone, that helps a lot!
