Parking Permit for Fall?

Hi, I'm accepted to UCLA Graduate program. I'm starting from this Fall.

I like to get a parking permit, so I went to UCLA Transportation Services website at http://www.transportation.ucla.edu/students/parking/permits/apply/indexinfo.htm

The site was saying application was going to be available from Jun 5th, but it seems like unavailable.

How do the incomming (graduate) students get a parking permit?

it worked for me yesterday, and its still working now. i just checked.

Thank you so much!
Men, I had been lost in the site.

It worked!

Thanks!

Are the permits given out based on who applied first?

its a random drawing.

^ That can't be good...

If you desperately want a parking permit, you can work for parking services, and earn money while guaranteeing yourself a parking permit (still have to pay for it though)

Oh, I see. I never thought of that idea. Amazing!

Well actually Miffy if you're a graduate student, shouldn't you be able to get a parking permit?

I know that is definitly true for Anderson students.

Grad students have either guarenteed or very high chances of getting permits (don't remember exactly).

And no, parking isn't distributed randomly. They make a big deal about the point system. Which, by the way, may or may not be easily manipulated. Theoretically. Just saying.

Nothing is guaranteed for Anderson students. I got turned down for a permit last year.
