Hello, I’m new here… I’m just curious about the parking priority. Isn’t Regents Scholars are guaranteed on campus parking? That’s what the panphlet and the website said at least… I don’t know why I got denied ToT. I’m still in a big shocked.

I’m a Regents Scholar as well and I got denied. I think they weren’t aware or we probably have to dispute it to get our pass. I hope I can get the parking structure I asked for.

I contacted the transportation office earlier this morning and also recieve an e-mail response. They said that I suppost to apply the permit inperson (Where the heck did it say that). Well, I thought it is an automatic proccess as I remember that it was stated on the application or at least on the answer id #88. They told me that I must send an appeal form with prove of being a regents scholar but I am not sure that we need to provide them things like employment verification too or not but since we are guaranteed to get one, I doubt that we need it. I’m still waiting for them to give me more info. but I’ll probably visit the campus next week for it cuz I really need the parking ToT.

I didn’t get parking. but they said ill be on a waiting list.

Gunso,

I actually turned in my parking application in person, with “Regents Scholar” written on the top, and yet I was declined. I am sure that the appeal will workout in your favor.

Hopefully I don’t have to go through an appeal considering I did what they wanted and still didn’t get the parking pass.

By the way, in case your wondering how I knew to go to their office to apply for a parking permit. It’s because at the time I was filling out the application online, I realized there was no option on the application that notified them that I was in fact a Regents Scholar. I called them to ask where they would know I am a Regents Scholar and that’s when they told me I had to come in.

Good luck.

Thank you very much for the info.

I actually talk to the phone with the tranportation staff about 2 o’clock or so and also call the Regents scholar office. The Regents office said that I should be guaranteed a spot on campus parking. The lady at the Transportation thing said that I just need to send the appeal in person and I should get a parking spot regardless because I’m already aproved in the first place. So I guess that there might forgot to put the regents scholar points on yours since you already stated it. Try to contact them, I’m pretty sure you’ll get one. At this point I don’t really care which parking lot I am going to recieve, I just want one - -".

Got lot 7. Nice

what if u have a motorcycle? is it easier ?

in that case, I think (think!) parking is free. There are areas to park your vespa/cycle everywhere on campus.

What??? Can you really bring a Vespa and park it ANYWHERE FOR FREE!!! Dang… Now I want one… Is it possible for a girl like me to carry the Vespa in and out of my dorm room in… Hedrick Summit?! haha

I got Structure SV. Which means walking up and down just to get to North Campus. Can we trade? If anyone wants to trade let me know.

got lot 7 too, but I don’t think I’ll need the parking on campus…I’ll be living across the street and would rather have apt. parking…what to do…?

i’m regents too, i went in person to turn it in and wrote “REGENTS SCHOLAR” across the top.
Still got denied. I will be ****ed if we get bad lots because they were being stupid and forgot about us.
How did they screw this up so badly??? Waiting for a response from parking…

yeah, this is unbelievable. Once you guys turn in the appeal, would you mine sharing what they say to you? I’ll probably turn in mine this week. will c what they will say again this time.
