I was just wondering if there is any party scene at all on these days? I'm kind of in the mood to party again tonight...

some frats might have a keg or two some nights but it’s nothing big - usually very low key and chill. keep in mind that classes have started and a lot of professors have already given out assignments due either tomorrow or tuesday.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Hooray for 17 credits and no homework yet.

group therapy at dunbars on wednesdays. but you can find people to drink with any night.

just a quick question from a HS senior, do you get free drinks or do you have to bring your own?

Free from what I’ve seen so far.

That is assuming you’re fine drinking Keystone/Natty/Busch.

you should bring some to pregame. no one wants to show up awkwardly sober ;)

does anyone know of any good **** happening tonight?

Sunday is generally when everybody works. If you’re not 21+ you probably won’t be doing any “partying” aside from Friday and Saturday night. That being said, there’s always mixers for greeks and small get-together’s with friends. The bar scene will be active all week if you’re 21+.

" you should bring some to pregame. no one wants to show up awkwardly sober "

That’s a given.

which sport is more popular- basketball or football? Say i’m not on the varsity team, will a basketball baller still get some love from the ladies?

Our basketball team is considerably better than our football team.

But if you’re not on varsity, no one will care either way.
You’ll just be like any other kid who likes to play basketball.

does the varsity players like to play with non-varsity players? i’m not going to be recruited, but if i get accepted (a big if) i will definitely tryout at the open tryouts and hopefully i can get a spot on the bench lmao

dont know how this got shifted into a basketball thread, so i’ll revert back to the initial subject.

im a senior and typically even the bars have very few hours open on these days. not sure about all of them (rarely go) but many are closed these nights. as for the incoming freshmen, i doubt you will find many places to go. cornell students tend to start the partying hard on thursday and many go straight into saturday night-sunday morning. the rest of the days many are hungover and going through alcohol withdrawal haha. even any keg nights or things of this nature tend to be limited to the brothers and their closer friends/gf’s and are just laid back.

i think you’ll find that as a cornell student, partying during the week becomes nearly impossible if you want to maintain a decent gpa. once last year i had these 4 guys at my apartment and we got wasted everyday for about five days in a row (none of us could go back home for thxgiving). when break was over, i felt like absolute **** for like a week, and missed a bunch of classes. since then, i have all but given up heavy drinking and drinking during the week. it’s paid off for sure, haha. wouldn’t recommend making it a habit.

Drinking during the week happens a lot more in the spring if you decide to go greek

tuesdays-jo’s
wednesdays-dunbars/level b

What position do you play? There is always room for a strong shooting guard who can play defense or PW with big ups. Oh yeah, and if you don’t make the team, you can party with the dudes who starteed this thread and are looking for something to do during the week.
