Party Boarding Schools

Idk, if they do I'll answer truthfully. "I had suspicions, but nothing concrete enough for an accusation." Druggies don't talk to other people who don't smoke specifically about what they do..no matter how great of friends you are with them. So that statement will most likely be truthful

good advice.

Don't take it as advice. This is coming fro ma sophomore in high school who has "friends"(not close)...who obviously smoke. And have been exposed to many things so idk, I just made good decisions and kept on with my life. I'm not trying to advise anyone on what to do in the situation. That's just what I would do...I could be wrong. But I don't really care, I don't see my opinion changing anytime soon.

It's not like pot is gonna even affect your lifestyle. Drinking is probably a bigger problem. The thing is, mpicz. I have SEEN people do heroin. And sorry for using such language, but I have seen how it can f uck you up like no other. Have any of my "friends" (potheads) done it, no. I have seen, though, people with perfectly fine lives screw it up.

.....ok great lol. You're an under aged 9th grader. How much could you have possibly witnessed, where the hell do you go to school. I thought you were rich...but then again those rich kids can be pretty stupid. No one with a brain is going to be shooting heroin in front you (especially if your not even their friend) people at your school are retards if anything you say is true.

The people I am friends with don't do anything... What I see, however, is different. And no, this does not happen in school. I never saw them do Heroin in the process, but I have seen a kid (and heard of a few more) who was fine a few days earlier and after heroin... wow...

Rich kids can be stupid... At least I am not that kind of stupid. Plus heroin is slightly more prominent here because getting ahold of such a costly vice is not uber difficult. I don't even know how they get it... Getting ahold of pot is easy, but I (too) am surprised that people can get ahold of heroin so easily.

so pv, after all those admits, you are staying at your present school?

It's really not that hard to get a hold of, but thats another discussion.

No? huh 10 char... My mom finally "gave in". She wants me in Milton and my dad at Exeter, though!

At Cate just a week or two ago about 10-15 students got caught with drugs ranging from marijuana to LSD to 2CB :open_mouth:

aigusta - since you’re a new poster and passing on some negative gossip about a great school, how are we to be sure you’re not a ■■■■■? How is it that you have this information?

Not to mention this thread is 5 years old!!!

And most were expelled. Some were suspended because they used but never brought it on campus, but still as a student, I lost several friends that day. Unfortunately, I agree they had to go, and it has left the Cate community stricken state. We are not a party school. We take these matters exceedingly seriously and act accordingly. This was our worst event in some 30 years, and if you would like call us a “party school” after such a huge and, above all, rare occurrence, then I’m afraid I have to disagree. If anyone is concerned, feel free to PM me. I believe honesty is the best policy, and the while the way things happened was unfortunate, it was necessary to maintain a safe learning environment.

Thanks for your input, @ThisOneKid. Although I don’t know much about it, it seems that the school handled everything well. It stinks.

@skieurope Them five year old threads… :-q

So agree!!

There you go @Parlabane‌, no need to be so abrasive in tone…

aigusta, please. while I concede that you were right on the facts, it was still unsubstantiated gossip until thisonekid confirmed it. Also, you have only posted a few times. There have been several trolls on this board who have fallen into precisely that category - trashy gossip-new poster. You still didn’t note how you came to have the information. Are you a current student? One of the expelled or suspended students?

@Parlabane‌ I know a kid who got expelled (from middle school) and he told me the entire story.
