Party/social scene?

Hey guys!

I got into Tufts last week and couldn't be more thrilled. I was just wondering for students who are at Tufts now -- what's the party scene like? I know the school is full of incredibly smart and hard-working people, but I'm curious about what the cut-loose scene is like. Is greek life a big thing there?

Thanks!

If you are looking for a conventional party scene, join a frat or sorority. There are plenty of people who go out several times a week, either to frat parties or bars in the area. The typical college party scene DOES exist at Tufts. (although frat parties are open to everyone so you can attend even if you are not a member) If that’s not your thing, you can join clubs and go to an incredible number of concerts, cultural. political and interest based events on campus. There actually is something for everyone. Really easy to get to Boston or Cambridge and Davis Square has tons going on. People at Tufts are smart but they want to have fun and tend to balance time in the library–which is itself a pretty social place–with going to parties or getting involved in clubs and activities.
