party scene at tufts?

<p>So i was just accepted to Tufts and so far that is the college im probably going to go to. One quick question though.</p>

<p>I already know that the academics are great at Tufts, but how is the party scene at Tufts? I've heard that the Tufts administration is strongly against drinking and people have even said that I won't have any fun if i go to Tufts. So for any of you current students, how often do Tufts students go out to a party, and how are the quality of parties in general? I think the social scene at a college is pretty important so id like to hear what a current student thinks about Tufts'. </p>

<p>I know a kid or two at tufts and they seem to party plenty. and uhh MIT is 15 minutes away if you can't find anything (I have a friend at BU who parties at MIT ALL the time)....BU is 20 if you don't like nerds....Harvard is 25 if you want to ritz up your life. I think you'll be ok. :D</p>

<p>also BC is pretty close as well, and my friend whos a freshman at tufts said the parties at BC were a lot of fun. so im assuming that the ones at tufts werent as amazing. obviously i dont know personally, but thats the little bit that he told me.</p>

<p>It just seems like it would be so much more of a hassle to find a party scene at Tufts. Seems like you have to go to one of the other colleges nearby to do so. That however is the only negative aspect i can think of ;p</p>

<p>^ Everyone in Boston does that though. My friend goes to BU and she's always at MIT for parties, and my uncle went to Emerson and went to BC for them all the time, it's just how Boston is...</p>

<p>Hello, I am a current Tufts student (typing this from South Hall).</p>

<p>I'd rate the girls an A-. Very good looking, although there are those whom one might label as "materialistic," meaning the ditzy spoiled type that screams when they see a designer store.</p>

<p>There is MORE girls than guys here too, so that is a plus. Most of the girls that I know are very cool, and although Tufts students are generally wealthier than average, they are not spoiled (except the previous group).</p>

<p>^ I agree with hp in terms of humbleness of the wealthy students at Tufts. I know of maybe one or two stuck up, snobbish people.</p>

<p>omg, YES! yet another fantastic thing about here, a lot of the wealthiest people I know are plain ordinary kids. No one will in-your-face their Daddy's ATM receipt or anything.</p>

<p>Speaking for the guys...I love the guys here. What a high concentration of quality guys! They're all so sweet, funny, interesting, intelligent, attractive, talented and easy to get along with. It's really easy to find guys too, particularly through extracurriculars and stuff. A surprising number of guys have expressed to me how they're just looking for a girlfriend...NOT random hookups. But yeah lots of guys are into random hookups, which is to be expected anywhere lol. I'm continually amazed, however, at the overall quality of guys here.</p>
