<p>I want to drop my math course and get a W but the last day to do that was Oct 30. Is there still a chance for me to be able to drop it even though I passed the deadline? I was told to talk to the instructor. </p>

<p>you cant drop now. the professors cant even drop you now, even if they wanted to. at least thats how it works at pcc</p>
<p>As far as I understand, a professor can still give you a "W" when he/she submits the grades. Please do not quote me on this though.</p>
<p>One of my friends went back after a few years and reasoned with a professor to turn his "F" into a "W" because he was applying for grad school, and it was changed by the professor. It could be a school-to-school thing, so talk to your teacher and see what he/she says.</p>
