Path's to becoming a Investment Banker

reppin' bergen county woooo ;]

Just start with any Ivy or Ivy-esque school or top B programs such as Wharton/Tepper/Stern/Haas/Sloan/Ross

If you go to an Ivy League school and want to get into banking bad enough, you will. Don't believe what you hear about needing a 3.5, 3.7 GPA. Plenty of (white) people (without connections) get into good firms with 3.0-3.3.

I am not white... and I do not go to an ivy league... I am a US born Asian-American and I attend Indiana Univ..

You have a hustler’s spirit. I can tell from just reading this thread. Keep doing what you are doing. Ask questions, keep yourself informed about the industry so you can speak about it confidently whenever the time arises, reach out to your school's alumni network, go to career fairs, you could even go to career fairs at other schools like U of C or Northwestern (if I was a recruiter I would be impressed), apply on their website, and apply to any diversity program like SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity), INROADS (they take Asians too), and MLT (I am not sure they take Asians but try).

Good luck
