Paying to send SAT scores?

Hi, real quick.

Do you have to pay $10.50 for every time you send your scores into a different university? I thought this process was free and I thought that only if I chose to use Score Choice then I would have to pay?

I have a long list of colleges I want to apply to b/c of the VIP or Dean's Choice that waives off the application fee, and if I had to pay up $10.50 for every college, that would be a hell lot of money. I mean if we pay freaking $50 per SAT test (which is like paying to put yourself through hell w/ studying) shouldn't me sending the scores be free?

After you use up your four free score report choices, I’m pretty sure you have to pay for each additional one. I had to pay 40 bucks for additional score reports, so if you are applying to numerous schools, it can get pricey. I don’t know what happens if you have a fee waiver and all that other stuff though. :/

But the thing is that I didn’t even use the four free score reports… How do I use it? Ugh…

you had to send them within 2 weeks of taking your SAT. so if it’s after two weeks of the test date, you don’t have free score reports anymore.
I’m sorry. The SAT website isn’t very user friendly…
I actually limited the colleges i applied to because of the cost of sending test scores.

And they charge us $50 for this… how corrupt are they? Ugh.

It is all designed to make the most money if you ask me. You have to use your 4 free sends before the score comes out. The deadline to register for the next SAT is just before the score of the last test comes out so you cannot wait to see if the score is good enough to not take it again. Or if you wait, you get a huge late fee. Then they seem to take their time sending out scores if you elect regular send but they would send within 1 day or 2 if you pay a lot extra for rush score. Basically if it is closed to the deadline, you are basically forced to rush the score not knowing exactly when they are going to send it out. But it is mostly done electronically anyway, it seems like you pay them so much more for them to push the button a little sooner.

I agree a 100%.
