PC laptop vs Mac laptop

Hello, I'm gonna be an undergrad, getting used to campus life. I was wondering if I should buy a MAC laptop or PC laptop, I'm gonna major in economics or business. I've used PC my entire life, used the MAC only in school, so I don't know how to use it completely. I know it isn't hard to adjust. What are your suggestions?

This is what it says on the website:

All School of Management students must have a laptop computer with Microsoft Office. We also recommend that the laptop include Intel core two duo chip (or the equivalent) with a minimum of 2GB memory.

If you choose to use an Apple PC, there may be additional software expenses for the installation of Microsoft Office.<<<<<<<

Thanks, can you post the link to that resource? And do you know if Harpur has a similar requirement?

I already posted the link. Check it out.
You said you’re going to major in Econ or Business. That’s why I talked about SOM’s requirement.

Get a Mac, Don’t buy MS Office.

OpenOffice.org = Microsoft Office but free.

I have a Macbook Pro and it’s a fantastic machine. It’s consistently up to speed, great software and can do everything a PC does. Macs are designed in a way no other laptops are. For example, the trackpad is glass and no other company has been able to replicate it. They obviously are expensive but once you own one you will see why.

If you’re going for a cost effective machine, i’m sure you can find something equivalent for cheaper. I’ve noticed in lecture halls, Apple laptops are popular.
