That doesn’t change the user experience.

Tell me, what “user experience” unique to Mac are you talking about?

Not having to worry about viruses. The primary reason Macs are less prone to viruses might be the lack of viruses designed to target them, but that doesn’t matter to the user. All the user cares about is the lack of viruses.

" @Fasinro

I am not disagreeing with your point about Mac users. However, i do disagree with your “taking it apart statement”.

Microsoft Windows is entirely proprietary software. You can never and will never be able to tear the software apart and see where problems lie. Sure, you can check a manual but since when do manuals offer solutions to every single thing that can go wrong with a computer system? If by trouble shooting you mean going through pointless wizards that barely help anything than yes, windows users are absolute geniuses.

The only way to fix a problem in the source code is to view it, understand it, and modify it. Switch to a unix based system and you will see what I mean. “”

@ md5hash: I might consider taking you up on the offer. (Switching to a unix).

Please don’t throw around the word axiomatically when you clearly don’t understand it, you hyperbolic twit. :)

Perhaps you can explain why you feel the need to pimp Linux in a thread titled “PC vs. Mac.” Also, for all of Linux’s upsides, you know as well as I do that it’s never going to be a mainstream solution.

My PC doesn’t get many viruses because I’m not a dumbass.

A: What are words never said by a Mac fanboy?

:D

Once you go mac, you never go back!
Love my MacBook Pro!!!
Windows sucks…

@ThisCouldBeHeavn:

Simple. I like linux and want to spread the word about it. And I know that it will never be a mainstream solution however if you look closely at the facts, almost all government servers and company servers (ie. google, fb, etc.) use a unix based system on their secure servers. Also, MIT’s own operating system (Athena) is based off unix.

Right, and when I own my own Web 2.0 company this will be of grave concern to me. Til then…

^^Also keep in mine not everyone has the mind/resources of a web designer.
