PDI at Rensselaer/ U of R

My son spends all of his time on the computer on 3D Studio Max creating new products, cars etc. He is torn between a university atmosphere with a liberal arts education and a tech school that specializes in everything he is interested in now. Maybe that will change?

He is in the engineering school in both universities.

How good is the PDI program at rensselaer? Can you describe it? My son is very interested in PDI and mechanical engineering. If he goes to Renssselaer he will be in PDI which is where his interests lie.

If he goes to Rochester in engineering he will have more of the University experience, and a more well rounded liberal arts education.

What should he consider?

not to f**** any one off,but who really cares for a liberal arts education?ur son knows exactly what he wants to do so it will be better off to go to a school which specializes in that...RPI.Also,RPI is one of the best engineering schools in the nation.

The best school is the one where he fits and it sounds like he would fit the best at RPI.
