Peddie Class of 2015

I personally will be a Peddie Class of 2015 graduate. Who else will be joining me? If you reply, it would be helpful if you included the reasons why you chose Peddie. Thanks!

I’m probably going to Peddie - Class of 2015 also! I had Peddie as my top choice because I loved the atmosphere. It had a great combination between oldschool prep and modern/casual. the courses seemed great and when I peaked into the classrooms everyone was engaged. On top of that, Peddie was extremely generous and gave me a huge grant. Very fortunate!

I am going to Peddie, class of 2015. I loved the friendly and kind atmosphere, the modern advances that will enhance our learning (laptops, science labs, exc.) The classes seemed to be the perfect balance between challenging and normal. And the teachers seemed so dedicated to their work that with their help outside of school and inside, we will all thrive.

You all write so well! I have the same views as writingandbooks does. Throughout my visit to Peddie, I felt comfortable and valued

First time post here. My D going to Peddie although we did not get a chance to visit the campus so your comments help a lot. She can’t wait to go for revisit day and I believe we will fall in love with Peddie even more then.

Welcome! My brother goes to Peddie, so I do know a fair bit about the campus and classes. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! Or share them on this thread.

Thanks, laughalittle. I will let my d take you up on that offer. Maybe y’all can also exchange revisit dates to see if you will be there at the same time.

I got accepted to Peddie for next year, class of 2015, as well. I am trying to decide if I should stay at the private school I just started this year, or switch to Peddie. I am leaning more towards Peddie because I would be boarding, which would give me a structured schedule to work from rather then being at home with more distractions. I love the sports facilities at Peddie and the number&variation of science courses to choose from. So i’m probably Peddie class of 2015, too!

I’m so glad you’re thinking about the boarding experience. I will not be one, but I have heard from my brother that he believes that, out of his friends, most are boarders. You won’t even miss your family (well, maybe a little). Peddie has a great sense of community and I hope you feel the bond immediately. I’m also incredibly impressed with Peddie’s rise to the top, as a contender for one of the top boarding schools in the country. They’re so humble about it, which is odd and inhumane. All the schools proclaim how great they are, and Peddie just sits and waits for the right candidate to come along! Congrats for your acceptance, and I hope to see you at revisit day and in the fall!

Please let your daughter know that I’d be happy to talk to her. If you’d like, you can PM me (that goes for anyone). I will be attending the second revisit day, because I think that will be less crowded. I also suggest, to those in the area, to go for a visit on a separate day. Revisit day is a day geared towards the visitors, so I’m afraid I won’t get the full Peddie experience. As I live close by, I hope to get the opportunity to visit on a normal school day. What revisit day is your daughter going to?

Bump bump bump

I might go to Peddie next year too! I’m going to the Revisit Day on March 31st and then I’ll decide :)

Awww! I’m going to the revisit day on April 5th. Have fun!

Thank you! haha, i saw above that your brother goes to peddie. does he enjoy it?

Loves it! Just…this feeling of a loving, warm community rolls over you every time you enter there! I’ve already been part of the community. Everyone reassured me that I’d get in (at whatever event I was attending), and I’m so proud to say that I did. I admire everyone who chose Peddie for what it has to offer, because we all know that Peddie isn’t HADES or GLADCHEMMS! I was wondering…why did you all pick Peddie?

Well, Peddie is actually the only school I applied to. If I don’t go to Peddie I’ll be going to my town’s public school. But I applied to Peddie because my dad went there, and also my aunt works at Peddie. And since my aunt works there, my family comes down to visit a lot! Actually just a few weeks ago we came and saw Thoroughly Modern Millie! Are you going to be a boarding student or a day student?

Day, because I live close enough. I will be boarding senior year. What about you? Will you live with your aunt or stay in a dorm? Do you live close enough?

I’ll live in a dorm. My aunt lives about 5 minutes away from the campus though. But my family lives about 2 hours away.

Bump! Revisit day is tomorrow as well, so if anyone has anything to add to it, please speak up!
