One of my closest friends has asked me to write his Dartmouth peer evaluation for him. While I'm honored that he chose me, I have no clue how to begin or how to style my writing.

Can anyone offer some words of advice for the peer rec? I tried Google for samples, but there are only teach rec samples to be found.

Gracias :) All help appreciated!

I like your username. Write from that heart, and write a letter to Dartmouth about your friend. What is it you like about him? What makes you think Dartmouth (or any college) should want him? What makes him stand out from the other people you know? What do you think they should know about him? What does he mean to you?

There is no set format. It’s not a “To/From/Re” memo. I don’t even think you need a salutation.

NAME is [the most idiotic person I know. Proof? He asked me to write this peer review.] JK

NAME is [the weirdest and most wonderful person I know].

NAME asked me to write this peer review. I’m glad to do it, although I don’t really know what I’m doing, but he is …

I first met NAME in the *th grade when he [saved me from a pack of ravaging zombies on the blacktop].
