Peer Recommendation!!

Hmm, the Peer Recommendation page won't work for me....

Can anyone PM with their MSN/ICQ and afterwards send me the file? (my recommendation was written on a seperate page, but I want the original form attached, even if semi-empty, for good measure)

i have her email but i don't think she has internet connection. she would have responded to my five gazillion emails my now.

I think if you do not realize that they are mandatory, then you lack the gift of common sense and do not deserve to go to an Ivy League school. Honestly, too many people are juiced up on stats and overqualifications, but before you can run you need to learn how to tie your shoes.

Hear, hear Ace.

rollie....

if you were an admission officer or donald trump..would you be
listening to excuses when there are 10000 more people competing for
your spot...it shows lack of desire to be at dartmouth and perhaps a candidate with only one friend in the world?
get another friend to write it ..dont burden dartmouth with "my dog ate my homework excuses" ..just do it today ..make sure it has no spelling errors, a couple of nice things to say about you and by the way its the last thing they consider anyway

again to all applicants....youve done your job in school with grades,
your job this last couple of months was to show your organization skills
and you ability to play by some rules

dont mean to be harsh and good luck rollie

I'm writing a rec for my friend, and it's all good except I'm having an issue with the whole PDF thing. I dont' want to handwrite it (I think it looks less professional), and so I've been fiddling with the document, but it seems the Dartmouth PDF file doesn't allot the applicant the rights to do text fields on the document...or is that just me?

Anyways, since it's not working, is it "legal" for me to simply type up my long response and just staple it to the evaluation form?

What my friend did last year was that he took the form and wrote his evaluation on microsoft word, using 1 inch margin at the top and 2 inches from the bottom, and printed it directly onto the peer evaluation sheet.

My friend typed mine and pasted it on the back of a printed out copy of the form.
she kept messing up and gluing on more layers, so in the end my peer rec thing was like 6 pages thick.
I got accepted ED.
Really, I would worry more about content than formatting.

^ Lol that's funny. Awesome that you got in!

Ok. Thanks PKWsurf! That's a super good idea...obviously my brain isn't that innovative... Thanks!!!!!

If you download the form with Acrobat Professional, you can do the editing I suggested in an earlier post.

I have to write this for a friend of mine still
I am planning on mailing it later today or tomorrow...it says it has to be postmarked by the 1st.
Is it okay if I just type it up and then write see attached in the spaces provided?

The rec I wrote for my friend is three pages.

<3 not following implied directions.

They're not going to penalize your friend for anything that you do. However, I would follow directions if I was applying as well.

^ Nah trick, I'ma be up in NEW HAVEN wut wut!
