<p>Let me just get this straight, in order to be eligible for Pell Grant, and thus in turn be eligible to apply for the Gates Scholarship, your family income must be less than $20,000?</p>

<p>So basically, the Gates scholarship is only for those with very very low incomes? Nothing like $100,000+ right?</p>

<p>Sorry if this has been asked a lot, I just want to get this straight.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure it's not less than 20000, I would say about 40k - 50k</p>
