Pending felony issues

Ok so I was planning on attending a certain college but in my last semester of high school I was charged with a felony. The college told me that I would not be allowed to enroll until it had been resolved (my lawyer is sure it will be dropped) and I have completed the review boards process and passed. This was during the summer that I got this news so it was too late to apply for other schools. I am going to be attending community college in the fall but I really want to be at a university come spring. Does anyone know of anyway I can transfer after just one semester of community college? If it helps I live in NC and would want to go to an in state school.
Thanks!

Have you considered taking a gap year and working while it is all sorted out?

Yeah thats what I wanted to do but my parents are pretty adamant that I cant.

Talk to the transfer advisors at the CC and ask for their recommendations.

Sorry I new here. How do I do that?

I think Erin’s Dad means talk to the transfer advisors at the community college that you hope to attend. (CC can refer to this forum, and it can also refer to “community college”.)

Ohh ok thanks.

Talk to the university that admitted you: do they keep your aspot? If the issue is resolved soon, will you be able to enroll or will you have to re apply? WillUnser what conditions? If you’re still allowed to enroll in the spring, would you still be eligible if you take community college classes? Are you eligible for Any merit scholarships- if so, be aware that taking community college classes would void any possibility of merit aince merit is awarded to freshmen and you’d become a transfer, thus costing your r parents thousands of dollars…
