Penn 2017 ED Discussion Thread

^^I think Dean Furda means they’re finalizing all decisions once again…I remember I read from somewhere that admission officers will spend a week or so to review all decisions for the last time…but they only have 4 days until the 12th…

They’re officially done the last minute changes. Penn Admissions does not work on Sundays so Monday and Tuesday will be spent doing administrative work.

Good luck everyone!

My feels have been constantly changing since last email was sent out. I kinda already believe that i am rejected because after submitting my app, there has been no call, email interview or nothing heard from Penn. I feel like they might just not care about me…
I’ve been adjusting myself to move on and apply to other colleges as well. But it’s just hard to give up on the dream you’ve been holding for 2 years.

No matter what the decision is, I will always thank Penn for teaching me what a dream is and how to fight for it.

If you did not get any calls, email interviews, etc. then is that bad? :(

^You have to remember that they don’t have time to contact all of their admitted applicants either! Relax, don’t beat yourself up over something that isn’t even final yet, and just wait 4 more days :)

pennyoony, keep your head up. Just because you didn’t get a phone call, interview, or any special email from Penn, doesn’t mean that you’re rejected for sure. Not everyone who they accept get contacted, even though a few have. Just believe in yourself, we have all gone through tough times and worked hard throughout our high school years. We will be rewarded for all our toils in some way, be it admission into Penn or some other great university.

Thanks guys. Actually I’m not sad or disappointed any more because i know that we’ll all end up at the right and best place :)

^After a little bit of ego bruising  But we’ll be okay nonetheless…at least that’s what I try to tell myself too.

wow decisions are finalized much later than i thought

good luck to all :D

excavalier what was your gpa and sat score penn

Aaah I’m so nervous for the decision!! Although I know that I have decisions coming for several other great schools in the week following so I will hopefully not be too devastated if I don’t get in.

Any financial aid applicants hear anything? Just curious

^I haven’t heard anything, but I don’t think we’re supposed to. I know for a fact, however, that I didn’t submit all the required forms… :/

Next week is finals week at my school, so I probably should’ve been studying during all the time I spent procrastinating on CC :P

On the bright side, I’ve been searching for motivation to study for French, and the best I could come up with was googling images of “hot french guys” LOL

WWBD?

NYU, UM Ross, or Berkeley Haas … or you would go on with an econ major in other big name schools.

D’s next favorate is USC Marshall. I believe that’s because of its location.

This topic would for sure take your attention away from penn for the next few days -:))

Tweet from Dean Furda: “Ben is pleased” I think they are done. For good. Well our fates are sealed.

^^ CAS hopeful here, but I’m applying to UM Ross and UVA with the possibility of going to McIntire.

Waaauuuu :open_mouth: This is scary but exciting! Wednesday, please come faster :)

^^^^Great topic changer! My 2nd choice would be Econ at Duke. It’s a family thing + my brother plays soccer for them :D

For me, it’s basically a three way tie between U. Pitt (Honors), Ohio State (Honors), and CWRU. I really like OSU and CWRU as Universities, but Pitt offered me a full tuition scholarship, which is really tempting. Overall, I feel like I’m leaning more towards Ohio State at the moment, but I’ll wait until the FA/Merit aid packages come in.
