December the 7th, Friday at 10 p.m.

I definitely think it is a great sign, though I would obviously caution you about going to crazy before wednesday. As for none FA applicants or those that may not be strong qualifiers, it isn’t a terrible sign that you haven’t received an email.

Ugh Obby we’re on the same boat man. What school did you apply to btw?

My income? $0. My mom’s? < $35,000

And to Roy I’ll assume you wouldn’t mind if I answered the question. 34k, household of 4.

Obbypen- Congrats! hopefully you get in!
I’m also a FA applicant, but i havent received any email… smell a rejection… :(

I’m a skeptic so I’m as unsure and insecure as the next person. I just would really wish that all college emails would remain neutral in their wording to not mislead.

Obby SAME. I like got excited at first, then really depressed. I refuse to believe this means anything til Wednesday.

Obby & lizmarie - CONGRATS!!!

You two are the first CC acceptances for the Penn Class of 2017!!! (and extremely modest about it, too!) Free feel to celebrate accordingly ;)

I am certain that this is an acceptance. A friend of mine (Columbia EDer) got a similar email a week ago and ended up being accepted! A classmate who didn’t get the email (with very similar financial circumstances) did not get accepted.

Oh okay :o

Thanks! Congratulations dude! :)

sense rejection in the air…/. …
FA applicant… no response of any sort…I shall begin working on my other applications today…

@Obbypen just curious, did you even get an interview?

Shush please don’t jinx it guyssss!

Also, any other Huntsman applicants in the midst? Haven’t heard much Huntsman talk in this thread.

^Don’t lose hope chrezie. Not to be insulting in anyway, but the two who posted about the email are quite low on the income scale. I assume they didn’t send it out to everyone who applied for FA - otherwise, they’d practically have given out decisions to half the applicants.

I didnt apply FA so im not freaked out by it but to those who didnt get the email. Calm down… I’m pretty sure the financial aid and admission are separate processes.

Financial aid applicants should not be discouraged. One would only get the $400 fee waived if they only have a very small income, enough that the $400 would be a significant burden.

I applied to CAS.

Non-FA students probably won’t receive an email because the other alternative would be telling you that you WOULD have to pay the deposit…which they can do after Wednesday to not get controversy like that which Berkeley created last year with their whole “We’re worth the wait”

But anyways~~~CONGRATS Obbypen & Lizmarielemon!!

Financial aid applicants should not worry because the email was only to persons that the fee will be waived for.

@pixels Not offense taken. It’s true. We’re all in this game together and it’s important that we all retain our sanity.
