Penn/Brown/Amherst/Yale

Heres the deal--- I am trying to figure out what school to apply to early. The nature of my application makes it important that I apply early-- take my word for it so anyone who is gonna be snide and say do not apply early hold back please. Essentially I do not know where to apply early between Penn, Brown, Amherst, and Yale, I have visited all of them and liked them all. Penn is my best shot at early admissions for specific curcumstances but that is part of why it is tied with all the others for early. Im looking for a discussion of each of these schools as of this year so I can get this decision made.

I go to Amherst, and I love Amherst.

But you're uncertain, so absolutely pick Yale (non-binding).

If you're certain you don't like any of the others more than Penn, and as you say you have the best shot at Penn "for specific circumstances" then go with Penn. If you're uncertain then do Yale as unregistered said. Also, Yale SCEA this fall is going to be crazy hard; Penn, Brown and Amherst become a lot harder to get into in the RD round.
