You look strong for Penn ED, especially if you’re not from an overrepresented state.

Is Washington considered overrepresented?

Washington is not overrepresented. California or New York, however, are. You have a great chance for Penn ED.

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/970755-chance-ivies-please.html

Let’s just say I would be very, very surprised if you didn’t get in to Penn ED. IB Diploma a year early?? Everything is incredible as well on your app.

Just to let you know, you aren’t an AP Scholar- you’re an AP Scholar with Distinction, which IMO looks much better than just AP Scholar.

Hopefully! I just need to get a move on the essays/recs. And, I’m lucky enough to be in a district that allows me to pursue the diploma a year early…count my blessings, eh?

Thanks for the heads-up! Does it actually have much weight though?

@crimsonuser, thanks for the chance! I chanced you back.

you look great in pretty much all areas. If you’re applying for Wharton, however, you may have a low chance but that’s the same for everyone. If not, then you’ll have a great chance. Good Luck!

You should be in everywhere else for sure except for Harvard and Duke.
I think you have as solid of a shot as anybody does especially with the solid ECs

chance back please

Thanks DarkKnight and viking3214!

@DarkKnight, I’m going to be eding to CAS. Does me being an Asian male and being interested in biology/pre-med pathway hurt me at all?

To everyone, does the AP Scholar thing matter at all?

I don’t think AP Scholar awards matter a whole bunch, unless you get National AP Scholar or State AP Scholar by the time you apply. I was just saying that the Distinction award is much more rare than just Scholar, so if AP Scholar Awards do matter very much, it should help your app.

Please chance:

being asian might, but your major shouldn’t hurt you too much. Penn is known to be prestigious in pre-med, but there’s no special program for it; all you have to do is take classes.

I’m an asian myself so I understand how it feels. We’re minorities; we gotta stay together

I know pre-med isn’t a major, but on the Common App you can still mark it as one of your interests.

We’re ORM’s unfortunately =[

Anyone else?

Bump10char :)

Most likely acceptance at Pomona, Tufts, Rice, and UW.

Thanks :)

How do I look for the other schools?
