Penn Engineering?

<p>How do you think of Penn Engineering??</p>

<p>Do students at penn think of engineering major people as not that good??</p>

<p>also, I’m accepted to Penn and Cornell for engineering…
which would you recommend??</p>

<p>my friends mention cornell’s ranking
but people at workplace (engineering companies) tell me to go to Penn!!</p>

<p>I’ll do chemical engineering…
well… I might want to go to law school… and not really interested in MBA…</p>

<p>lol. Many students at Penn are engineering majors themselves. Generally, most people who've taken enough science/math courses respect engineering majors. Most of the people who don't respect engineering are probably hummanities majors (probably true for most schools) - but its not like it matters LOL.</p>

<p>Actually, the rankings in ChemE are about even between Penn and Cornell.</p>

<p>actually, only 15% of penn undergraduates have SEAS as their home school, but it really doesn't make a difference: generally, engineers are respected just like everyone else, except that they always have a lot of work (problem sets, lab reports, whatever) to do.</p>

<p>in general, school affiliation doesn't really make a difference: college kids are friends with engineers are friends with nursing students are friends with whartonites are friends with huntsman/m&t/wharton-nursing kids.</p>

<p>I chose Penn Engineering because of not only the quality of the engineering department (which I'm convinced more people will realize as time goes on), but also the tremendous range of interdisciplinary options available to me.</p>
